Last night your 8th grade Lady Spartans were in action against Cambridge City (Lincoln). In the first quarter the girls came out with great effort but were down 7-6 after the first. In the second quarter the girls found great shot opportunities but couldn't capitalize and was down 27-15 at the halftime break. In the third quarter it was much of the same and only had 2 points after the quarter ended. Foul trouble began to loom large and the girls couldn't get a lot of scoring to fall after the 4th quarter, losing the game 58-21. Leading scorers were Blakelynn Branstetter with 14, Caroline Roberts with 4, and Kastin Van Meter with 3. The Lady Spartans will be in action tonight at Batesville. The last home game will be 8th Grade Night March 5th, Thursday. Be sure to come support and make sure to wear your red for a Red Out. The girls play Greendale (Lawrenceburg).
