Connersville

The Connersville Middle School Track and Field Competed in Columbus over the weekend. Five of our Spartans battled the top 32 athletes in their events in the Region. Cooper DeBoard finished 4th in Long Jump with a PR of 17'2.5" and qualified for State. He also ran the 100m dash where he finished 19th and the 200m dash where he finished 20th. Branson Duncan competed in the 110m hurdles where he finished 14th and the 200m hurdles where he finished 11th. Caroline Roberts ran the 800m run where she finished 18th and the 2400m run and finished 21st. Brayden Bunch ran the 800m run and came in 11th. Leo Moyer ran the 1600m run where he finished 11th and set a new school record of 5:01.40 and the 2400m run where he finished 7th with a new school record of 8:01.03. Brayden and Leo because of their great times were invited to the State Track Meet Cooper, Brayden and Leo next compete Saturday May 23 in Terre Haute in the Indiana Middle School State Championships
